Mining & Froth Flotation Soap Applications
Froth flotation is the most widely used method for recovering valuable minerals like sulfides and ones containing copper, lead and zinc. When Valley’s natural products are introduced to a slurry of ground ore at a mill, they bind selectively to particles of the desired mineral and make the particles hydrophobic (water repellent). When the slurry is then agitated and aerated, the now hydrophobic minerals attach to ascending air bubbles and rise to form a froth of concentrated material that can easily be gathered.
